So who am I to advise you about buying a franchise?  Well, I started my business career as a franchisee.   In fact I have owned and operated three different franchises in the UK with varying degrees of success.  I often refer to them as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.  The fact is I am not sure which one merits which title!  All three had good points and all had weaknesses.  What I am sure of is that I learned a lot from each experience.  It is that experience that I believe will be useful to you and this book highlights the key things you need to be thinking about right now.  This book aims to cover the main questions that you absolutely must ask before you go ahead and invest in a franchise.  I have learned a lot and I am learning still every day.  I am now a franchisor and own and manage a successful franchise network myself.  So I have the experience to see things from both sides – as a franchisor and as a franchisee.
